Using the Documentation

This topic provides basic information about Filelocker's documentation.

Filelocker comes with a built in help system which allows you to browse through all help files offline. This system contains many helpful features that will allow you to get the most out of the help documentation. This system works similar to a normal (Web) browser in that you can follow links within the help window and use the forward and backward arrows to follow your path back or forward.

All key help items have been indexed for searching purposes which allows you to perform a search on a key topic and get back a list of items relating to your search. These items will be sorted with a number in parenthesis describing the number of times the key words show up in each particular help file. Generally the items at the top of the list are the most relevant items for the search performed.

Filelocker version 2 cross-platform HTML Help is readable on any HTML (Web) browser. Help has a new Explorer-style Table of Contents and an Index with incremental search. These features are built in to the Help Browser provided with Filelocker. If you prefer another browser for Web surfing, consider installing one of the following recommended browsers and using it for the Filelocker HTML documentation:

Both recommended browsers are free and you can download them from the Netscape or Microsoft web sites respectively.
